In October 2025 the first Sharetea in India opened at Inorbit Mall in Hitech City, Hyderabad — inaugurated by film director Sukumar, and run here by managing partners Praveen, Arun, Vikas and Teja.
What began as one counter has become a handful across two cities. Same leaves, same four-hour brew cycle, same pearls cooked fresh through the day. The only thing that changes is who is holding the cup.

Mr. Cheng Kai-Lung was making films and television when he left it behind to sell tea on the street. No storefront, no staff — just a cart, and a recipe he refused to compromise on.
Customers kept coming back and kept asking for more, until a cart was no longer enough. The first Sharetea store opened because the queue demanded it.

We brew with high-quality tea leaves instead of artificial flavours. Every batch of leaves and every ingredient is tested, so the cup you get in Bengaluru tastes like the cup you'd get in Taipei.

Our base teas come from Taiwan's high mountain estates. Each variety carries its own character — and we build the menu around those differences rather than flattening them.
A recipe team, not a supplier list
A dedicated research and development team creates the recipes. That's why the menu keeps growing without the originals ever drifting from what they were.
